A Modern Concrete Pool Deck
This Project only reflects a small portion of the work we completed on this property. From architectural concrete steps to a modern driveway: This modern pool deck showcases a smooth-finish concrete surface with decorative saw-cut lines that create the look of oversized tile, bringing a bold, upscale finish to the entire outdoor space.
The Prep & The Pour
The pool deck was carefully prepped by grading and compacting a solid gravel base to ensure proper support and drainage. From there, forms were set in place, followed by the installation of rebar for reinforcement and trench drains to manage water flow around the patio. With all preparation complete, the concrete was poured and finished with a smooth finish, setting the foundation for a clean modern outdoor space.
The Prep & The Pour
After completing the initial relief cuts, we carefully laid out the oversized tile pattern across the surface to ensure precise spacing and alignment. Once confirmed, we began executing the decorative saw cuts—shallow, intentional cuts that differ from structural relief or expansion joints. These cuts are purely aesthetic, designed to enhance the visual impact of the slab and create the look of large-format tile across the finished surface.
