A Modernized Entrance
This project completely reimagines the home’s front entrance and main walkway with a clean, modern aesthetic. The existing concrete was removed and replaced with a new design focused on sharp lines, smooth finishes, and precise detailing. A standout feature is the custom-formed stairs, complete with a defined nosing that creates a subtle shadow line—giving the steps a striking floating appearance. The result is a refined, contemporary entry that elevates the entire look of the home.
Prepping The Forms
The prep stage set the foundation for a long-lasting, high-quality finish. After removing the existing surface, we carefully excavated and installed a compacted gravel base to ensure proper drainage and stability throughout the entrance and walkway. At the same time, we formed and poured a dedicated footing for a small retaining wall, providing the structural support needed for both function and clean, defined lines in the final design. This groundwork is critical—it ensures everything above not only looks sharp, but performs reliably for years to come.
Steps And Wall Ready To Pour
To achieve the clean lines and precise finish this project called for, we broke the work into multiple pours. This approach allowed us to focus on the steps and wall first, ensuring everything was properly formed, braced, and ready for a flawless placement. Here, the steps are fully prepped and set for their pour—next up, we move on to forming and pouring the walkways
Stripping The Forms
After allowing the concrete to properly cure, we carefully stripped away the forms to reveal the finished details. With the forms removed, the crisp edges and defined nosings come into view, highlighting the clean lines and subtle shadowing that give the steps their floating appearance. It’s the moment where all the precision in the forming stage really shows.
Onto The Next Stage
With the forms removed and the step details fully revealed, we shift our focus to the next phase. The site is cleaned up and prepped as we begin laying out and preparing the walkways, setting the stage for the next pour and ensuring everything ties together seamlessly with the finished entrance.
The Finished Entrance
The front entrance is now fully complete, bringing the entire vision together with clean lines and a modern smooth finish. Precise saw cuts were carefully laid out and installed, adding subtle detail and a structured pattern that complements the overall design. With the landscaping now finished, this space truly comes to life—transforming the front of the home into a sharp, contemporary entrance that feels both welcoming and refined.
